I have included videos from my Senior Recital from January 2014 and one video from a performance class in the fall of 2013. I performed works by Alessandro Scarlatti, Henri Duparc, Ben Moore, Edvard Grieg, and Rodgers and Hammerstein II (my encore piece). Clera Ryu was my accompanist and the recital was given in the Concert Hall of Boston University's College of Fine Arts. This is a performace of "Sono unite a tormentarmi" by Alessandro Scarlatti. The text's author is unknown. This was performed during my Senior Recital at Boston University in January of 2014. The ornamentation in the return of the A section was particularly fun to sing.
This is a performance of "In the dark pine-wood" by American composer Ben Moore. The text is by James Joyce from his work Chamber Music. This performance was during my Senior Recital at Boston University in January of 2014. One thing I like about this song is the text painting of "at noon of day".
This is a performance of "Lamento" by Henri Duparc. The text is by Pierre-Jules-Théophile Gautier and is from his work La Comédie de la Morte. This performance was during my Senior Recital at Boston University in January of 2014. Something to listen for in this song is the "cooing" of the pale dove.
This is a performance of "Zur Rosenzeit" by Edvard Grieg. The text is by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. This performance was during my Senior Recital at Boston University in January of 2014.
"You'll Never Walk Alone" is by Rodgers and Hammerstein from their show Carousel. This was the encore of my Senior Recital in January of 2014.
"Chanson Triste" composed by Henri Duparc was part of my Senior Recital French set. This is a video of me singing it during a performance class in the fall of my senior year at Boston University.
