Piano Lessons

 

I graduated from Boston University with a degree in Voice Performance and Music Education on May 18, 2014. I studied piano privately for 10 years. I've played pieces like Clair de lune by Claude Debussy, Waltz in B minor by Chopin, and the final movement of the Pathetique sonata by Beethoven publicly. One of my strengths is my ability to help students find easy and appropriate fingerings.

 

I teach beginning piano lessons.  One of my unique approaches is my focus on listening and playing music by ear.  This is not the only way I approach music, but listening to music and audiating (the ability to hear music in your head) music are both vital skills to all musicians.  Audiation is especially important to younger children, so a younger piano student would experience more listening exercises in a piano lesson with me.
