Second Choir Concert in 18-19' school year!

Hello Everyone! I am so sorry this reminder is coming a little late (I blame the snow days, cold, days, AND jury days, but I digress...). This is the first time that I've done a concert during this time of year and it is a learning curve for me as well!

I have been diligently reminding your students to speak to you about our concert this upcoming evening on Thursday, March 7th at 7:00 pm in the FLW gymnasium.

Here is the reminder I sent home with most of the choirs late last week:

"It’s that time of year. Join us for the FLW Evening of Song Concert on Thursday, March 7th at 7:00 P.M. in the FLW Gymnasium! Concert attire is as follows:

6th Grade Choir: black bottoms (dress pants, socks, shoes), white dress tops (no ties). NO: jeans, sweatpants, gym or tennis shoes, white socks, writing, designs, or symbols on the shirts.

7th Grade Choir: black bottoms (dress pants, socks, shoes), white dress tops (no ties). NO: jeans, sweatpants, gym or tennis shoes, white socks, writing, designs, or symbols on the shirts.

8th Grade Choir: black bottoms (dress pants, socks, shoes), black dress tops (no ties). NO: jeans, sweatpants, gym or tennis shoes, white socks, writing, designs, or symbols on the shirts.

Call time for the Wildcat Voices is 6:20 P.M. in order to rehearse with our accompanist and the call time for all other choirs is 6:40 P.M. All students are expected to be in attendance for the whole concert as we have a couple of combined songs to conclude the show! See you there! :)"

This concert focuses on what I like to call the "fruits and veggies" of choral singing! Students are singing classical works, American folk songs, folk songs from around the world (some in different languages), spirituals, and songs based on poetry. It will be a moving and educational night for all! I look forward to seeing all of you Thursday night as we support the students in their musical accomplishments!
