Hello All!

The 7th grade students and I have started "Double Trouble" from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, written by John Williams (I met him this summer yay!!).

The text is taken from Act 4, Scene 1 of William Shakespeare's Macbeth. In the text, the three witches are concocting a potion of some kind.

John Williams did not include the entire witches' text in the song. I have attached a copy of the lyrics in our song and a portion of the movie version.

This song is a great introduction to 3-part singing since it's optional in our version of the song, it's a great connection to literature, and the chromatic lines of the music describing the potion ingredients will challenge the 7th grade choir to sing in tune and pay very close attention to pitch accuracy.

As always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns!

Best,

Ms. Neuberger
